Kimball announces new officer; Kevin Stokes appointed VP Global Technical Services

Kimball Electronics Group (KEG), a subsidiary of Kimball International, Inc., (NASDAQ:KBALB) has announced today the appointment of Kevin Stokes to the newly-created position of Vice President, Global Technical Services. His responsibilities include oversight of Lean Six Sigma, Design & Test, Development Services, Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quoting and Information Technology for KEG units worldwide.
 
"We have effectively integrated our engineering, supply chain, and IT teams so that we can sharpen our focus on productivity improvements and enhance the total package of value that we offer our customers," stated Don Charron, President, Kimball Electronics Group. "Kevin's proven leadership and collaborative approach will enhance our abilities to build success by meeting our customers' needs."

"I am very excited about this new opportunity. We are working on several global supply chain initiatives and Lean Six Sigma projects that are all aimed at improving our quality and driving down our costs," added Stokes.

Stokes, 42, joined Kimball Electronics in 2001 and has held various management positions within the engineering and quality organizations. His career began in the GE Apprentice Program, where he learned manufacturing, heavy fabrication, and machining. He was accepted into the highly respected GE Edison Engineering Development Program, and was transferred to their newly forming Reliability Engineering Team. Stokes furthered his extensive knowledge in quality and reliability assurance through management positions with Acu-Rite and Kenworth Trucks. He joined Kimball as Reliability Manager within the Kimball Engineering and Design Services organization, later being promoted to Director of Quality/Reliability. He became Director of Global Technical Services (GTS) in 2006.
