Thermonics announces fully self-contained precision temperature forcing system
May 10, 2007
Test Enterprises, Inc. announces the Thermonics T-2800 fully self-contained Precision Temperature Forcing System (PTFS) for electronic component testing. The T-2800 incorporates a built-in air compressor which eliminates the need for an external air supply at the test location. With a temperature range of -60C to 200C, an airflow rate of 300 SCFH, a small footprint, and an intuitive user interface, the T-2800 is well suited to a wide variety of applications. In addition, the T-2800 incorporates all of the necessary equipment to ensure high-quality air, including a receiver tank, after cooler, water separator, and a heatless desiccant air dryer. The T-2800 also features an integrated test arm, a pneumatically controlled test head, and a sophisticated self diagnostics capability. "The T-2800 system offers start-up companies, or companies in a transitional location, the ability to have a fully-loaded temperature forcing system while saving money on infrastructure costs," says Jim Kufis, president and CEO of Test Enterprises, Thermonics' parent company. "Instead of installing an expensive air compressor system at the location, the T-2800 can provide its own air. And when the company moves to a new location, the T-2800 can go right along with it, a win-win situation."
