Flextronics Closes Swiss Site, Cuts 300 Jobs

Flextronics Technology (Switzerland) GmbH, a unit of Singapore-based Flextronics International Ltd. (NasdaqNM:FLEX) , will close its production site in Solothurn and cut 300 jobs, or more than 90% of its workforce in Switzerland, the company said Wednesday.Flextronics said a lack of orders and the ongoing consolidation in the telecommunications sector are the main reasons for the job cuts.Flextronics said 30 engineers will retain their jobs in Switzerland.Source: PCBnewsline
