Acer acquisition plans brought forward, says paper

In previous reports J.T. Wang, president of Acer had said the company expects to complete the acquisition of a PC vendor within 3-5 months. However, during a recent interview with German reporters Wang revealed that, based on current proceedings this schedule is likely to be brought forward, according to a Chinese-language Central News Agency (CNA) report.
Market rumors suggest that Acer is targeting Gateway for the acquisition, however, Wang once more denied the speculations, noted the paper.
