DuPont establishes flat display laboratory in Taiwan

DuPont recently announced it established a FPD laboratory in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and said that DuPont's potential Taiwan-based partners are those investing in 7G and 8G LCD plants, such as AUO and CMO, DigiTimes reports. The initial number of employees at the laboratory will be 20 to 30 and the laboratory will develop materials for 7G and 8G panels, Cheng said, adding that the advantages of the laboratory includes a close vicinity to its Taiwan-based clients and a having a faster response to the needs of clients. DuPont already has a semiconductor materials laboratory in Hsinchu, which was established in July 2006. DuPont is still very optimistic about the potential of Taiwan's semiconductor and FPD industries, according to the company.
