Nepcon appoints new Marketing Manager
Mar 06, 2007
Reed Exhibitions has appointed Deborah Sibthorpe to the position of Nepcon Marketing Manager. Highly experienced in the area of trade exhibition marketing, Sibthorpe is currently preparing for the Nepcon 2007 show, being held over May 15th - 17th at the Birmingham NEC. In her new role, Sibthorpe will be responsible for all marketing activity supporting Nepcon, the UK's only dedicated exhibition for electronics manufacturers. Current marketing activity is based around promoting the main features of the 2007 show, including the brand new online Show Planner tool and visitor lounge at the show. The enhanced visitor experience presented by this year's show is further developed by an extended educational programme, incorporating a series of new roundtable debates and the DSEi seminar programme. "I am really looking forward to using my experience in exhibition marketing to contribute to the show's ongoing success," explains Sibthorpe. "This year's expanded educational focus presents visitors and exhibitors alike with a great opportunity to learn about the very latest trends and developments driving today's industry. For example, the DSEI dedicated seminars are designed for SMEs looking to break into and capitalise on the thriving aerospace and military industries." Having begun her career marketing an online learning trade exhibition at Venture Marketing Group, Sibthorpe has since been involved in the launch and marketing of e-learning events and conferences at the NEC, G-Mex and Wembley Conference & Exhibition Centre. Most recently, Sibthorpe worked as Marketing Manager for Advanstar Communications covering a portfolio of industry-leading pharmaceutical manufacturing publications. Career highlights to date include project managing the World of Learning Awards, and working on a range of trade exhibitions including the UK Security Show, The British and International Franchise Exhibition and a business start-up show.
