BPM announces new automotive electronics industry software feature set
Mar 08, 2007
BPM has announced new functionality in its BPWin software product. The newest BPWin version 4.66 that was released on February 20, 2007 now features control to satisfy strict automotive industry standards on quality and traceability. The Jobmaster Revision Control Utility program gives users the ability to lock jobmaster files to the exact BPWin version the first article was originally programmed. This feature allows "copy exact" function for automotive industry customers who require requalification of the programming process before new versions of software are implemented. When fully installed, the utility can significantly reduce job setup since it allows all valid versions of BPWin, version 4.64 and greater, to be installed on one computer. The utility will run the needed BPWin version based on the job file selected. BPM is the leader in the number of microcontroller devices supported on a single piece of programming equipment. Microcontrollers are the most widely used programmable device type for the automotive electronics industry. "BPM is proud to offer this new functionality designed specifically for our automotive electronics industry customers," said Tim Nolte, director of global marketing. The Jobmaster Revision Control Utility program is available to all BPM customers with current software support contracts. Further installation instructions are located in the on-line menu inside the BPWin program.
