Data I/O announces release of FLX500 software upgrade
Mar 12, 2007
Data I/O Corporation has announced the release of Version 1.1 application software and device support for the FLX500 desktop automated device programming system. The award-winning FLX500 delivers the lowest programming cost, superior quality and highest uptime that cannot be obtained by traditional manual programming methods. "The enhanced features in FLX500 Version 1.1 software provide production supervisors and managers with on-demand statistical reporting for tracking system performance. Real time statistical reporting is essential for tracking and reporting failures", said Dave Rohona, FLX500 Product Marketing Manager. Key features in Version 1.1 for FLX500 include support for 'Load from Master' operation, providing the ability to load a master data file from a pre-programmed master device. A variation on this, called 'Load from master once' requires the operator to insert a master device when selecting and running a new Job for the first time. The programming system then writes the user data file back to the Job located on either the network or memory stick. This flexibility allows software or hardware (master device) based control over critical IP files used in production. Version 1.1 also provides expanded capture of job statistics that may be saved to a file at the end of a job run. This provides valuable feedback related to component quality and performance. The update will ship to customers on a flash memory stick with USB connector. By simply inserting the memory stick into the FLX500 USB port, the system will recognize the new update and install on command.
