Mar 12, 2007
Foxconn International Holdings (FIH), the Hong Kong-listed handset subsidiary of Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry), will manufacture broadband CPE (customer premise equipment) products for China-based Huawei Technologies, the Chinese-language Commercial Times quoted Huawei sources as saying in a March 9 report. The FIH-Huawei cooperation will allow Huawei to compete more efficiently with the top-three vendors - Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia-Siemens - in the global telecom market, the paper said, noting that FIH is likely to produce ADSL modems and IPTV set-top boxes for Huawei initially. source: DigiTimes
