Matsushita says 'no plan for take over stake in LPL'

Ryuichi Tsuruta, investor relations director at Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd., visited Taiwan for an investment conference and stressed that Matsushita has no plan to invest in the stake in LG.Philips LCD, Nihon Keizai Shimbun reports.

He also said that if it invests in the LCD unit, it would be more reasonable to focus on IPS Alpha Technology Ltd, a joint venture between Hitachi Ltd. and Toshiba Corp.
