Kenichi Sekiya and Arthur W. Zafiropoulo appointed directors emeritus of SEMI

Kenichi Sekiya, honorary chairman and former president, CEO and chairman of DISCO Corporation, and Arthur W. Zafiropoulo, chairman and CEO of Ultratech, Inc., have been appointed directors emeritus of the SEMI Board of Directors. In this capacity, Sekiya and Zafiropoulo join an elite group of industry veterans that includes Ed Braun, Joel Elftmann, Ken Levy, James Morgan, Dan Quernemoen, Shigeo Takayama, and Shoichiro Yoshida. Sekiya served as chairman of the SEMI Board in 2001-2002 and Zafiropoulo served as chairman of the SEMI Board from 2002-2003. Both men made numerous and significant additional contributions to the global industry association over the tenure of their participation. "For their extraordinary service to our industry and its global association, the international SEMI Board of Directors is proud to bestow the distinction of emeritus status upon Sekiya-san and Art Zafiropoulo," said Stanley T.
