New DSP Circuit Speeds Laser Galvanometers

by
Dec 16, 2002

Hardware to be incorporated in custom-made and in-house products NanoVia, LP has announced a new Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Circuit that allows users to modify, convert or optimize signals used in motion control hardware. DSPLogixTM employs a patent-pending DSP circuit board that claims to allow engineers and system integrators to incorporate custom-tailored control signals, optimizing motion control systems such as galvanometers and CNC tables. The new technology is said to be able to take square wave or sinusoidal signals generated by common motion control cards and converts those signals into triangular wave, s-curve, trapezoidal or even customized signals. NanoVia utilizes its DSPLogixTM hardware in its own products as well as in custom products developed to improve the scanning speed of X,Y galvanometers in laser processing, metrology and medical imaging.
