Senao lands WLAN module order from Sonicwall

Taiwan-based network equipment maker Senao International recently closed a deal with Sonicwall to supply WLAN mini-PCI card modules to the US-based network security equipment vendor, the company said in a statement.Senao will supply Intersil 802.11b chip-powered modules for Sonicwall’s SOHO TZW, a secure wireless gateway that integrates secure wireless, firewall and VPN technologies in a single solution. The company expects to ship an estimated 20,000 units in a first batch at the end of this month, it said.The company also supplies WLAN equipment to Korea Telecom (KT) and a Europe-based telecom service provider.Source: DigiTimes
