Hon Hai to set up cellphone software R&D center in Nanjing

Taiwan's Hon Hai Group recently announced that its affiliated Foxconn International Holdings Ltd. (FIH) would set up a cellphone-software R&D center in Nanjing of Jiangsu Province in China, in line with the group's market development strategies. The Nanjing center will be Hon Hai's first software R&D center in China. Hon Hai Group chairman Terry Gou recently signed a letter of intent (LOI) with related government officials across the Taiwan Strait. Industry sources pointed out that Hon Hai chose Nanjing as the location for its software center due to the availability of abundant academic and research resources in the city. source & copyright: CENS
