Indium`s VP of Technology earns

Indium Corporation’s Vice President of Technology Dr. Ning-Cheng Lee has been awarded the 2002 "Member of Distinction" award by the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA).In an awards ceremony held recently in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Lee was presented the award by SMTA President Rod Howell, who said, "We can think of no single individual who has contributed more to the technical development of this most important technology than Dr. Lee."Dr. Lee has made numerous major contributions to the electronics assembly industry in his 20 years of service, including writing two renowned text books, acting as Chairman at several technical development sessions worldwide, and developing revolutionary solder and flux formulations for high-volume automated electronics assembly.Dr. Lee has been with Indium since 1986. Prior to joining Indium, he was with Morton Chemical and SCM. Dr. Lee received his Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the University of Akron in 1981, and a B.S. in chemistry from the National Taiwan University in 1973.
