Samsung Electronics wins large LCD order - the largest in Europe for 2006

Samsung Electronics announced that it would exclusively supply large-size LCD displays to a total of 2,400 post offices and regional offices of the United Kingdom's Royal Mail.

This order is the largest scale of the 30-inch and larger LCD display unit B2B sales in Europe in 2006, and therefore, 4,250 units of 40-inch LCDs will be introduced to more than 3 million visitors at post offices by February 2007.

Samsung Electronics provided LCD monitors in bulk to deluxe cruise ships of MSC, an Italian traditional shipping company, in August, and also reached an agreement with Europe's Hilton Hotel to supply LCD TVs in bulk in October. In addition, in November, the electronics giant was also selected as an exclusive LCD monitor supplier to the Heathrow airport, one of the world's top three airports, highlighting its B2B achievements, which can largely contribute to brand enhancement.
