CTS Scotland facility achieves ISO13485 certification for medical manufacturing
Dec 15, 2006
ISO13485:2003 is the international quality management standard for designers and manufacturers of medical devices. CTS actively pursued this certification as part of an ongoing global quality roadmap to meet the needs of customers in the high reliability, high technology medical sector. Scotland is CTS' first European facility to achieve the accreditation. Don Schroeder, President of CTS EMS, commented, "The achievement of ISO13485 in the UK means that CTS has successfully obtained ISO13485 status in North America, Asia and Europe - six of our eight facilities are now accredited and we expect to accomplish a seventh in Q1 of next year as part of our strategy to serve customers with a need for higher complexity medical devices and equipment in their home region. I am proud that the team continues to delight our customers with world class excellence." CTS' range of products and services provided to the medical sector includes highly complex, high-reliability SMT assemblies and backplanes, fully integrated box build systems, global NPI to support clinical trials, equipment design, micro-electronic assembly and clean room environments.
