Amtran denied acquisition by Foxconn

Display maker Amtran Technology yesterday denied rumors that it will be acquired by Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry), according to today's Chinese-language Liberty Times. Amtran also denied rumors that its chairman Alpha Wu will resign on November 22. The paper cited sources as saying that Foxconn did visit Amtran's plants, but the two currently have no partnership plans.
