Double-sided HDI reel-to-reel at Cicorel

As demand for multi-functions on flexible or rigid low cost applications such as chip cards, passports, and watch components increases, the separation of functions at the PCB level can no longer be provided by single-sided circuits.

To offer a solution, Cicorel has introduced reel-to reel production of double-sided PCBs on flexible or thin rigid substrates with interconnections based on plated blind and/or through holes between the two sides using in-line laser drilling.

Fully automated reel-to reel production allows for competitive costs despite the complexity of the initial PCB design.

This technology and the new possibilities that double-sided reel-to-reel HDI products create for the industry will be presented at the "Micropackaging Conference of Arcsis" on November 23 at the STUniversity in Fuveau, France.
