LG Electronics to receive 11 Innovation Awards at CES 2007

At the CES2007, the largest international consumer electronics show, scheduled to take place next year in the United States, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics will receive the innovation awards for a number of innovative products, respectively. Samsung Electronics is honored with the innovation awards for its 12 new products including 3 MP3 players, a television, a home theatre system, a mobile phone, an ultra mobile PC and a multi-functional color laser printer. LG Electronics' chocolate phone, which recorded 5 million units in worldwide shipments, is honored with the innovation awards and its other awardees include a FUSIC phone, a 42-inch PDP TV callable of receiving two-way cable date broadcasts, 3-door refrigerator and steam trom washing machine. The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) have given the innovation awards every year, after investigating products applied for the CES. As CES innovation awardees, around 300 products are chosen from roughly 30 categories - display, mobile phone, home theatre, computer component, consumer electronics appliances.
