Asustek own-brand notebooks to make inroads into Japanese market

Asustek Computer has teamed up with four channel distributors in Japan, allowing the company to start marketing its own-brand notebooks in the Japanese market in the fourth quarter, according to Benson Lin, president of Asustek's Asia-Pacific and Taiwan unit. The four Japanese channel distributors are Bic Camera, Yodobashi Camera, Sofmap and Tsukumo, Lin stated.
