Acer and Asustek have nearly 15% share of global notebook market in 3Q 2006, says IDC

Combined shipments of Acer- and Asustek-branded notebooks totaled 3.174 million units in the third quarter of this year, accounting for 14.9% of the third-quarter's global shipments of 21.3 million units, according to data from International Data Corporation (IDC). Together with notebook shipments from China-based Lenovo, Chinese-branded notebooks accounted for 22.8% of the global notebook shipments in the third quarter, the data showed. source - digitimes
