Calumet Electronics expanding North American PCB production
Oct 05, 2006
Calumet Electronics Corp. (CEC) has announced a 22,000 square foot expansion to its production facility and capital equipment additions scheduled for a January 1, 2007 completion date. Due to growing demand for its circuit boards, CEC has started construction of the 6th addition to its production facility in as many years. The current expansion increases the facility to approximately 120,000 square feet and will house enhanced Drill, Multilayer Processing, Electrical Test, and Final Inspection Departments. The expansion will improve capabilities and increase capacity. "Growing demand for our boards from the commercial and military markets has prompted this latest expansion that will ultimately amount to a capital investment exceeding $2,000,000 this year alone" states Elden Hendrickson, Jr., CEC's General Manager, "We are committed to manufacturing 100% per of the boards we sell in house. We do not broker or sub-contract any products or services – it's all Made in the USA." CEC is funding this project, as it has funded all previous projects, from its operating revenue. The facility and all the equipment is owned, debt-free, by the company. For more information, please visit; www.calumetelectronics.com
