Photo Stencil announces high-performance metal mask
Oct 10, 2006
Photo Stencil has announced the AccuScreen(TM) high-performance metal mask/screen. Photo Stencil designed the AccuScreen to replace traditional metal mask screens for printing thick film inks and other materials. Photo Stencil will showcase the AccuScreen at IMAPS 2006 at the San Diego Convention Center October 10-12, 2006. Photo Stencil will have a display for review, samples and be available for questions at its sister company, IC Interconnect's, booth #400. "The AccuScreen allows designers to use unique screen openings that increase the open mesh area for better material transfer and more precise patterns," explains Mike Burgess, vice president of Photo Stencil. "This product is longer lasting than traditional emulsion screens and offers more flexibility including the ability to print on uneven surfaces." AccuScreens are made using an additive process as opposed to the traditional subtractive process used to fabricate thick film screens and metal mask. Constructed of nickel, they are both durable and chemical resistant. The squeegee-printing surface is perfectly flat compared to the woven wire knuckles for woven screen mesh products.
