KIC announces SlimKIC 2000-LF Kit
May 09, 2003
Thermal profiling software provider and winner of multiple VISION awards KIC, has announced a profiler to aid in the transition to lead-freeKIC believes that its new SlimKIC 2000-LF kit, a profiler and process development tool whose capabilities are designed specifically for optimizing the lead-free thermal process, will provide the best solution for electronics manufacturers to prepare for lead-free production. SlimKIC 2000-LF kit is reported to incorporate up to 12 thermocouples and has both real-time and datalogging options. The system comes standard with a stainless steel thermal shield and thermocouples rated to handle the higher temperatures required for the lead-free reflow process. Additionally, SlimKIC 4000-LC includes KIC’s KIC 2000 software platform with a built-in library of commonly used materials and their suggested process limits, including most of today’s lead-free pastes. For lead-free applications that require higher processing temperatures and smaller process windows, the SlimKIC 2000-LF kit offers Navigator and Auto-Focus, two options that can simplify the lead-free reflow process setup.Source: PCBnewsline
