ECS motherboard shipments to top eight million mark

With close partnerships with China-based vendors including Lenovo, Haier and Beijing Founder Electronics, motherboard maker Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) is expected to ship more than eight million PC motherboards to the China market in 2006, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News. The number is expected to grow further to more than 10 million units next year, indicated the paper.
