MS2 molten solder surfactant amazes crowds at Nepcon Shenzhen
Sep 18, 2006
To those familiar with wave soldering, it looked like magic when dross disappeared from a solder pot right before their eyes. But attendees at Nepcon Shenzhen soon found out there were no tricks involved. It was the latest demonstration of MS2â„¢ Molten Solder Surfactant and eliminating dross from the wave soldering process is what this revolutionary, new product was developed to do. The demonstration, using a full-size solder pot containing SAC 305 lead-free alloy, was staged by MS2 manufacturer P. Kay Metal, Inc., and distribution partner WKK (Wong's Kong King International) in the WKK booth throughout the show. It was designed to dramatically make the point that there is no other product like MS2. "We've got third-party laboratory analysis, testimonials and tests by some of the world's leading electronics manufacturers testifying to the effectiveness, cost savings and environmental safety that MS2 brings to their operations," said Larry Kay, president, P. Kay Metal. "But seeing is believing, and attendees were amazed at just how effective MS2 really is." MS2 enables manufacturers to reduce solder usage up to 70%, depending on production volume, provides significant cost savings and is environmentally friendly. Independent testing has shown that MS2 enables manufacturers to produce printed circuit boards with few defects and better quality joints, while eliminating dross and reducing the costs of solder, hazardous waste handling and labor. MS2 is available for both leaded and lead-free processing. For more information about P. Kay Metal and its products, please visit: www.pkaymetal.com.
