ZESTRON America presents "Eutectic and Pb-Free Cleaning in the Same Equipment"
Sep 22, 2006
ZESTRON is pleased to present the latest analytical data and information compiled during a recent study focused on PCB cleaning in a mixed (eutectic and lead-free) environment using a single cleaning application. The results will be unveiled during the SMTA International Conference (SMTAI) co-located with the ATE Show September 26-28, 2006 in Rosemont (Chicago), IL as part of this conference's technical session series. ZESTRON's Application Technology Manager, Umut Tosun, will discuss the study's findings during a presentation titled "Eutectic and Pb-Free Cleaning in the Same Equipment - Process Limits and Risks." The presentation will take place on Wednesday, September 27 at 10 am in Room 3 during the "Selecting the Right Lead-Free Cleaning Process" session. "With the increase in soldering temperatures and higher flux activations of lead-free formulas the high precision cleaning industry has seen an increase in the demand for cleaning applications," says Tosun. "This demand has raised questions regarding the reliability of cleaning results especially in regard to cleaning processes that combine eutectic and lead-free cleaning for many of our customers."
