Sanmina-SCI Corporation announced that its San Jose, California facility has been awarded MIL-PRF-31032 certification by the Defense Supply Center, Columbus (DSCC). "Sanmina-SCI's manufacturing locations continue to work diligently to obtain stringent certifications that demonstrate to our customers that we provide the highest level quality and technology to their respective industries," said Norman Evans, Vice President of Manufacturing for Sanmina- SCI's San Jose PCB facility. "Our San Jose facility is world-class, specializing in QTA through volume manufacturing of bare PCBs and large form factor backplanes, with layer counts up to 60 and thickness up to .450", as well as Sequential lamination, via fill, Blind and Buried technologies. Plus, our proven accelerated volume to market capabilities make this facility one of the most flexible and responsive PCB operations in the world."

"This important qualification further validates our commitment to providing the highest level of quality, service and technology to our customers," stated Mike Keri, Vice President and General Manager of Sanmina- SCI's San Jose PCB facility. "Sanmina-SCI is proud of its advanced technology solutions in the manufacture of PCBs, which are an integral part of the military market."

The Defense Supply Center located in Columbus, Ohio (DSCC) is the largest supplier of weapon systems spare parts and end items for the Department of Defense. To be certified, products must be manufactured in the United States and pass a stringent laboratory analysis. Specific product characteristics are published by DSCC in its Qualified Manufacturers List (QML). Further information can be obtained from their website at www.dscc.dla.mil.
