More Foxconn merger rumors, this time with Quanta

Today's Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) quoted sources as saying Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) may merge with Quanta Computer. The paper citing analysts from Europe-based investment banks as indicating that the two companies have been in talks about a merger since March. Foxconn and Quanta both denied the rumors on August 14, stressing that the companies have no knowledge of a merger, the paper noted.
