Compal reports revenue growth in April

Compal Electronics, Taiwan’s second-largest notebook contract manufacturer, generated NT$11.86 billion in revenues in April, up 11.3% from March and 15.1% from a year earlier. Its shipments grew 14.3% from 350,000 units in March to 400,000 last month.Compal’s monthly handset shipments remained stable at around 230,000 units for the past two months. It shipped an estimated 270,000 monitors in April.For the January-April period, the company saw revenues grow 22.8% year-on-year to NT$42.3 billion.Compal expects its revenues to decline slightly in May, which is usually the low season.Source: DigiTimes
