Asustek to invest in China joint-venture for notebook chassis

Asustek Computer plans to invest US$14.75 million in a joint-venture with Singapore-based Huan Hsin Holdings to set up a new company to produce notebook chassis in China, according to the Chinese-language Apple Daily. Huan Hsin currently supplies notebook chassis to Dell and Hewlett Packard (HP) in addition to other clients, the paper said, adding that the new company will be called Shanghai Indeed Technology.
