Comet expands service department

Comet, the manufacturer of high-resolution FEINFOCUS X-Ray inspection systems, announces the appointment of Jochen Dietel to service engineer. With more than eleven years of experience as a service manager in the field of micro- and nanofocus X-Ray inspection, Mr. Dietel is uniquely qualified for his new position with Comet. The appointment is indicative of Comet's commitment to provide superior customer service and applications support to its global customer base. Most recently, Mr. Dietel served as the global service manager for Phoenix X-Ray Systems, where he was responsible for system installation, repair services, and maintenance and service documentation. Mr. Dietel began his career with Comet's FEINFOCUS business unit in 1994, and during his time with the company became intimately involved with Comet's service policies - including field maintenance, upgrades, and training - for the complete line of FEINFOCUS X-Ray inspection systems. Mr. Dietel received a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Chemnitz, Germany in 1993. He is fluent in English as well as his native German. Mr. Dietel has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and the Americas during his time as a service engineer, giving him the ability to communicate with customers of diverse cultural backgrounds.
