Taiwan NB makers to see demand up in August

Compal Electronics and Quanta Computer will see rising shipments in August thanks to back-to-school demand in August, with Compal to see its notebook shipments exceeding 1.1 million while Quanta Computer is expected to ship 1.5-million units in August, according to the Chinese-language Apple Daily. However, Wistron's shipments may remain flat from July, the paper said.
