Asustek begins production at Shanghai plant

Asustek Computer on June 21 announced the opening of its Nanhui plant in Shanghai, where production of notebooks and handheld devices is beginning to ramp-up. Asustek has invested a total of US$125 million in the new manufacturing site, which covers an area twice as large as the company's Suzhou plant (Jiangsu Province, China), the company said.
