Foxconn to set up R&D center in Japan for automation market

Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) will set up an R&D center in Japan to tap into market for robots and automation systems, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN). Foxconn chairman Terry Gou has said that the automation market has a lot of potential as a result of pay increases for workers, the paper added.
