Synchronized Manufacturing Technologies are RoHS ready

May 09, 2006

Synchronized Manufacturing Technologies, a premier low to medium volume provider of electronics manufacturing services (EMS) confirms that they have a lead-free assembly process compliant to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS). Synchronized Manufacturing Technologies continues its aggressive path to becoming a leader in the local market place.

With a Pb-Free kit purchased from Cookson Electronics, samples were processed through several process variables and surface finishes over a 3-month validation study (go to www.syncmfg.com to read report). The samples were inspected in accordance with IPC-A-610 D and passed all class III requirements.  Solder joints were microsectioned and analyzed for voids and proper solder joint formation and a certificate was awarded.

Synchronized Manufacturing Technologies has reached a another milestone in its short history, being able to offer and build lead-free compliant products comes on the heels of our ISO 9001:2000 registration and continues what our customers have come to expect, offering the absolute highest quality of services that can be found at a company of our size," stated Gary Tarallo, co-founder and VP. Operations.

"Investing in this type of process study is what our customers needed and deserve, simply stating that a company is in compliance isn't enough" stated Alan Kule, co-founder and President. Since the company was founded we have been working closely with suppliers and assisting our customers in becoming fully compliant.

Understanding the impact this directive has on its customers, Synchronized Manufacturing Technologies has assumed an active role alleviating some of the challenges faced by its customers. "By leveraging our materials management capabilities, Synchronized Manufacturing Technologies has been able to offer services such as Bill of Material audits, component conversion timeline schedules and inventory liability, while still ensuring a steady steam of finished products" stated Dave Woodworth, Purchasing Manager.
