May 04, 2006
May 17 meeting gives industry an advance look at the 2007 Roadmap There is only one week left to register for the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative's (iNEMI's) roadmap workshop. The full-day meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, at consortium headquarters in Herndon, Va., and is open to anyone in the electronics industry, including non-members. The workshop will include reports on all 19 technology and infrastructure chapters being developed for the 2007 iNEMI Roadmap. These chapters cover business processes/technologies, design technologies, manufacturing technologies, and component subsystem technologies (see agenda at http://www.inemi.org/cms/calendar/iNEMI_Roadmap_North_American_workshop.html#Preliminary%20Agenda). Participants will get an early look at the information covered in the chapters, and will also be able provide input and feedback. The workshop registration fee is $200 for non-members (the fee is waived for iNEMI members), which includes a continental breakfast, lunch and a copy of the 2007 iNEMI Roadmap CD when published in February 2007 (which sells for $250). Registration deadline is May 12. For additional information about, or to register for, the North American workshop, go to http://www.inemi.org/cms/calendar/iNEMI_Roadmap_North_American_workshop.html The North American workshop is one of several regional meetings scheduled for the 2007 iNEMI Roadmap.
