Apr 24, 2003
Siemens Dematic Electronic Assembly Systems, Inc. is expanding its equipment platform with the introduction of its Siplace CS and Siplace CF placement machines specifically designed for medium-volume production with high demands on flexibility and quick product changeovers. Both of the C-Series machines are an extension of the Siplace machine concept, and both can be equipped with the same feeders, changeover tables and other identical accessories. The new product line is said to be a complete production solution consisting of the Siplace CF multifunctional placement machine and the flexible, high-speed Siplace CS placement machine. The C-Series consists of the flexible high-speed Siplace CS placement machine, achieving a placement rate of 20,000 cph at an accuracy of 68 µm, and the more flexible Siplace CF multifunctional fine-pitch machine that claims to provide both high accuracy and high speed. The machine is capable of achieving 68 µm with the Collect & Place head and 38 µm with the Pick & Place head at a placement speed of up to 9,000 cph.For more information about Siplace please see: www.siplace.comSource: PCBnewsline
