Kemet closes $103M Epcos unit buy

Kemet completes acquisition of Epcos unit for about $103 Million Kemet Corp., a maker of products used to store and regulate electrical energy in electronic devices, said it completed its purchase of German electronic parts maker Epcos AG's tantalum unit for 86.5 million euro ($103 million). Tantalum capacitors are one of the devices used in electronics to regulate energy. Kemet agreed to buy the business in December.
