Lite-On planning China R&D headquarters

Lite-On Group plans to establish a China R&D headquarters and is still assessing possible locations, according to the Chinese-language Commercial Times. The report added that the new facility will employ more than 1,000 people and may be located in Shanghai or Nanjing, with the decision to be finalized in the first half of this year, according to Tom Tang, a vice president of the group's Technology Research and Development Center (TRDC).
