Acer gives up seat on BenQ's board of directors
Apr 18, 2006
Acer has given up its seat on BenQ's board of directors in order to avoid any conflict of interests between the companies' separate brand-name businesses. Acer said that, in order to concentrate on its brand development, it has been selling off investments in non-core businesses, including its shares in Wistron and BenQ, both of which were spun off from the PC vendor. Acer currently holds 6.89% of BenQ's stock. full story - http://www.digitimes.com/systems/a20060417A5020.html
