SiliconPipe adds Dr. Skip Fehr to team

SiliconPipe, an Open Source Intellectual Property Company, announced that Dr. Skip Fehr, IC packaging industry veteran, has joined its advisory team, effective immediately. He has agreed to serve as advisor to the leading-edge interconnection technology development company. Dr. Fehr was a co-founder and CTO of Integrated Packaging Assembly Corp., (IPAC and now OSE-USA), located in San Jose, CA. Prior to that, Dr. Fehr was director of IC package development and assembly at chipmaker LSI Logic in Milpitas, CA. He was among the first employees (number 32) at Intel before joining LSI (where he was among the first 10 employees). He has also held technical posts at several other leading semiconductor companies including Burroughs, Fairchild Semiconductor Inc., and Texas Instruments. Dr. Fehr received his Ph.D. in material science and engineering from Iowa State University. "We are delighted to have Skip join us as an advisor" commented SiliconPipe's co-founder, Joseph Fjelstad.
