Electrolube exhibits new aqueous conformal coating at Nepcon
Apr 26, 2006
Electrolube's technical team will be on hand at Nepcon, stand H45, to demonstrate a number of cleaning products from their extensive range. Visitors with specific board cleaning problems are invited to bring a problem board to the stand where technical advisors will be pleased to discuss and demonstrate the most suitable product to meet their cleaning requirements. The leading electrochemicals manufacturer will also perform demonstrations of lead-free flux cleaning using Electrolube's new LFFR, a fast drying solvent cleaner, and show a highly effective cleaning method using Safewash Super in a Crest Ultrasonics machine and rinsing system. In addition, Electrolube will present the new water-based conformal coating, Aquacoat Plus, which has been specifically formulated for the protection of electronic circuitry. Offering an excellent combination of physical and electrical properties, Aquacoat Plus eliminates the need for extraction and other precautions normally required for the application of conventional solvent-based conformal coatings. The new aqueous conformal coating is non-flammable and contains low levels of VOCs. It contains no isocyan¬ates, so it can be soldered through without fear of highly toxic gases being produced, and is phenol-free, meaning that it is non-corrosive to Cadmium and Zinc plate. Aquacoat Plus meets the requirements of DEF-STAN, MIL and IPC-CC-830 and is RoHS compliant.
