Jabil to make water heaters in Arizona

Jabil Circuit Inc. has formed a strategic partnership with Skye International Inc. for manufacturing a series of lifestyle products.
The first is the new FORTIS line of tankless electric water heaters. Skye's tankless water heaters work on demand providing hot water only when necessary. When a hot water fixture is opened or hot water is required by an appliance, the heater will sense the demand and heat water as long as needed. Instead of wasting energy and money storing hot water when it is not needed, tankless water heaters provide only as much hot water as needed, when it is needed. Jabil will manufacture the FORTIS line in its Tempe, Ariz., facility which is very close to SKYE's new 28,000-square-foot research, administration and distribution headquarters in Chandler, Ariz. According to SKYE, the manufacturing is scheduled to begin in mid-2006.
