DDI appoints Robert Houghton as VP, Information Technology

DDI Corp. (NasdaqNM:DDIC) announced that Robert Houghton has been named Vice President, Information Technology. In this position, Mr. Houghton is chartered with leading DDI's IT efforts to drive technology throughout the company's manufacturing facilities, while increasing efficiencies in DDI's corporate business processes and delivering top quality customer service. "Robert Houghton brings extensive experience using information technology in manufacturing companies to improve operations, streamline processes and reduce costs on the factory floor," states Mikel Williams, president and CEO, DDI Corp. "Robert's skills and experience will allow DDI to further increase business efficiency while improving our customer service delivery capabilities." Mr. Houghton has over 25 years experience in operations, infrastructure and oversight of IT applications across a variety of manufacturing companies. Mr. Houghton comes to DDI from Western Digital Corporation where he began as Director, IS for North America and rose to CIO for the IT division. At Western Digital, Mr. Houghton's work enhanced profitability and streamlined both manufacturing operations and business processes. Prior to Western Digital, Mr. Houghton was a Manager of Global Training and Technology for Adaptec's Business Information Solutions Group. Mr. Houghton began his career in programming and has advanced in responsibility with a variety of organizations including Litton and Johns Hopkins. Mr. Houghton holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maryland. Additionally, Mr. Houghton has taken post-graduate training in information systems management and holds project management and other professional certifications.
