Genesis Electronics Manufacturing now RoHS compliant

Genesis Electronics Manufacturing, Inc. ("GEM") announced that it is now accepting factory orders to provide lead free & RoHS compliant electronic manufacturing services to OEM customers.

"The RoHS (Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances) initiative which originally solely focused on electronic products shipped to the European Union, now has some applications in the United States," said Scott Mauldin, President, "California, Illinois, & Maine are among some of the states that have implemented legislation with RoHS like requirements, and still other state and federal legislation is pending. Our factory will maintain both RoHS compliant and standard compliance manufacturing services for the foreseeable future. Furthermore, GEM is exploring how we can use our repair warranty & service depot to help customers manage the logistics of electronic product recycling which also has legislation pending in several states."
