J P Sercel Associates (JPSA) announces the purchase of a 35,000 sq. ft. facility in Manchester, New Hampshire, approximately thirty minutes north of its current plant in Hollis, NH. The move to the building, currently undergoing renovation construction, was prompted by JPSA's need for more office and manufacturing space; the acquisition, according to CEO Jeffrey P. Sercel, is part of JPSA's long-term planned growth. "JPSA has become a global supplier of laser micromachining and wafer processing technology" Sercel says. "We're making inroads into many new industries and applications including semiconductor, biomedical, electronics and advanced packaging, medical device manufacturing, and more. We recently began shipping systems to Japan, and have established a strong customer base throughout the Far East. We're seeing an Increase in orders for our laser job shop services as well. This new facility will support our growth as JPSA becomes more of a global player in process development for emerging technologies." The new facility will house JPSA's administrative and manufacturing facilities as well as a full-featured job shop for contract laser drilling, wafer processing, and micromachining services, according to Sercel.
