Feb 01, 2006
Direct Logix Inc., announces the technology acquisition made by Harbor Electronics, of Control Center XP(TM) automated product planning software for bare printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing. Mr. Ramiro Couto, Manager, MIS Systems, at Harbor Electronics's Santa Clara operations, commented: "We specialize in the manufacture of complex, high-layer count, impedance controlled "interface" Printed Circuit Boards for the Semiconductor Test Industry. The system technology needed to be implemented without the complexity of requiring a dedicated programmer to support the software or a long setup time. These requirements led us to choose Control Center after surveying other major suppliers. "We are proud to have been selected by Harbor Electronics for their engineering automation needs after a extensive market check and competitive site visits, said Mr. Leigh Eichel, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Direct Logix. Control Center XP(TM)'s open automation, Automated Traveler Generation, CAM Procedure management and graphical Stackup modules allows our customers an infrastructure that creates a real competitive advantage building a complete factory hardware neutral, automated, front-end solution." Control Center XP(TM), developed by Direct Logix, is an automated rules-driven product planning system that drastically reduces costs, pre production engineering time and embeds internal know how in a central engineering information database. Control Center XP(TM) product planning is based on the most advanced rules engine that dynamically generates the BOM (Bill of materials), Part Traveler and CAM instructions - all revision controlled.
