Feb 03, 2006
BEST Inc., in conjunction with its project partners, Cookson Electronics Assembly Materials, Automated Learning Corp. (ALC) and the subject matter experts at Vitronics-Soltec, have announced the launch of their "Lead Free Wave Soldering" assembly training course. This interactive multimedia learning course, which allows the student to learn the material at a time convenient for them, is designed for process technicians and process engineers and their respective managers who are involved in the assembly of lead-free electronic assemblies. As part of the suite of lead-free assembly courses, the "Lead Free Wave Soldering" training course teaches key concepts through presentation, practice and testing of the material. The learning takes place at any time or place that is conducive for the student. Learning is assured through a final interactive test for certification of the concepts learned in the program. This course can be conducted wither over a company LAN or through the internet allowing the student to learn on their own time and at their own pace. Translated versions will be offered initially in German and Chinese "BEST and its partners have put together a highly informative wave soldering training program. This material augmented with BEST's hands-on instruction in lead free manufacturing techniques will prepare process technicians for the challenges of lead-free assembly" said Bob Wettermann of BEST Inc.
